At U.S. Components & Packaging Specialties, Inc. Specialties, we frequently respond to obscure print-to-part fabrication demands for high-performance components and structural elements that are integral to key American military vehicles and aviation platforms. This aluminum airframe structural element for a U.S. military aircraft seemed especially noteworthy to share on our site. Its graphics and project highlights testify to our commitment in providing the world's best fighting forces with exceptional gear and critical replacement parts and components, however small, obscure or limited in quantity.
Through fabrication via band saw and mill, we cut aviation-grade aluminum alloy extrusion to a weight of 4 ounces, overall part dimensions of 6" - 1.5", and tightest tolerances of ±.005". After deburring and application of aviation epoxy primer, we produced an airframe structural element that met all customer print specifications and our own 2D CAD drawing.
